The Story Behind MannAsha

A little about me

"I know what it's like to feel lost in your own mind, and I know what it takes to find your way back."

Calm reflective environment
Nayan Kapadia • Mental Health Counsellor

Grounded in psychology, backed by evidence, and centered on empathy.

I'm Nayan Kapadia, a Mumbai-based Mental Health Counsellor. Long before I became a counsellor, I went through my own period of confusion, low confidence, and not knowing which way was up — the kind of stretch that makes you feel like you're the only one going through it. I wasn't.

That experience is a large part of why I do this work today. I know how much it matters to have someone actually listen — not rush you toward advice, not make you feel like a problem to be fixed, just genuinely hear what you're carrying.

The Essence of Our Name

Mann (Mind) + Asha (Hope)

"MannAsha is what I want every session to offer: a space where your mind is genuinely heard, and hope feels possible again."

I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, and bring years of teaching experience and Art of Living practice into how I work.

This unique foundation allows me to combine structured, evidence-based counselling with a calmer, more grounded approach to the human mind. We work together not just to understand the roots of your distress, but to build practical, daily emotional resilience.
